Main Function
The Assistant Refrigeration Technician supports the Refrigeration Department onboard and develops professional skills to progress toward a Refrigeration Technician position.
Assists with maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment while following company safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
Intermediate oral and written English (working & Safety language of the Company).
Previous experience in refrigeration, air-conditioning or a related technical field.
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Seaman Book.
High School Graduate with appropriate technical licenses as required by the company.
Basic knowledge of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and willingness to learn.
Physically fit for shipboard duties and emergency procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow instructions from the Chief Refrigeration Technician regarding maintenance methods and procedures.
Assist Refrigeration Technicians with maintenance and repair of refrigeration and hotel machinery.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of A.C. workshops, A.C. rooms and tools.
Work according to company safety standards and injury prevention procedures.
Avoid wastage of materials and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
Participate in emergency drills and safety training onboard.
Follow company regulations and operational procedures at all times.
