Main Function
The Assistant Electrician supports the Electrical Department onboard and develops professional skills to progress toward an Electrician position.
Assists with maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems onboard while following company safety and operational standards.
Qualifications
Intermediate oral and written English (working & Safety language of the Company).
Previous experience in electrical maintenance or a related technical field.
Technical education or electrical background is considered an advantage.
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Seaman Book.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and willingness to learn.
Physically fit for shipboard duties and emergency procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Electricians with maintenance and repair of electrical equipment onboard.
Support maintenance of hotel and technical electrical systems.
Replace damaged lamps and perform routine inspections of electrical areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of electrical workshops and tools.
Follow company safety standards and injury prevention procedures.
Ensure proper use of electrical tools and equipment.
Participate in emergency drills and safety training onboard.
