Contract length: 6 Months (+15/-30 days)

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience at sea as Refrigeration Technician (Cruise, Ro-Pax, Ferry, Container, Reefer type vessels of mid and large size)

High School Graduation with appropriate licenses obtained from certified Technical Institutes

Windows based computer ability and proven knowledge of MS Office suite

Satisfy the requirements of STCW 95 regarding the certification for this position

Certificate of Proficiency Reg. III/5 or Reg. III/4 or EPA 608

Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment

Good supervisory skills, crisis, and problem handling

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Assure the safe and efficient control and maintenance of the ship’s air conditioning system, the provisions area refrigeration units and all refrigerators on board in co-operation together with the Chief Refrigeration Technician. In charge of executing all duties associated with the operation of the Air Conditioning and refrigeration plants and equipment on board, reporting to the Chief Refrigeration Technician or her/his delegate for any work to be done, or any malfunctioning equipment.
