Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience at sea as AB and minimum 1 year of experience as Quarter Master/helmsman (Cruise, Ro-Pax, Ro-Ro, Ferry, Container, Bulk carrier type vessels of mid and large size)
Sufficient knowledge in maintenance, technique and seamanship
Good knowledge of COLREG Regulations
Satisfy the requirements of STCW 95 regarding the certification for this position
Certificate of Proficiency Reg. II/4 or Reg. II/5
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Stand watch as helmsman and lookout, maintain a steady course, execute all rudder orders and communicate using navigational terms relating to heading and steering
