Description
Contract signed 6 months (+15 /- 30 days), but it is important guarantee minimum 4 months on board 2 at home
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience at sea in the position (Cruise, Ro-Pax, Ro-Ro, Ferry, Container, Bulk carrier type vessels of mid and large size)
Windows based computer ability and proven knowledge of MS Office suite
Satisfy the requirements of STCW 95 regarding the certification for this position
Certificate of Competency Reg. III/6
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment
Good supervisory skills and crisis and problem handling
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and maintain all the electrical equipment through the ship and the Engine Room. Responsible for electrical maintenance on-board and daily reporting to Chief Electrician. Their duties include the maintenance of high and low voltage electrical facilities in the engine room and in the Hotel zone. He/She collaborates and assists the chief Electrician for the maintenance of Main Electrical Equipment as alternators, main propulsion motors etc., and to ensure safe and secure supervision of the work performed by the electricians. He/She is supported by the Electricians in all activities related to electrical operations and maintenance of the ship.
