Main Function

  • To support and administer the daily operations of the Photo Gallery / Photo Shop and on vessels where the following applies: Photo Operations, Internet Operations, Wristband sales, “MSC for ME” App and
  • Video Operations to surpass sales targets.
  • To deliver sales targets and exceed ratings objectives. To contribute to training and development of team members.
  • This is a pre-management position.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 months sales and guests service experience, ideal candidate should be revenue and operationally astute with cross functional experience working with multiple business units with exposure to photography, technical / IT, operations with marketing departments.
  • In absence of Assistant The HUB Manager, may temporarily fulfil this role and responsibilities.
  • Possess working knowledge of shipboard cruise line operations, current sales / market trends, and economic factors; preferably within a Cruise Line organization and accustomed to working with a highly diverse employee base.
  • Analytical skills with proven success in problem identification and implementation of evolving digital and technical systems.
  • Problem-solver to address gaps in guests’ experiences and needs.
  • Knowledge of wet, dry and digital photo lab systems preferred.
  • Excellent administrational, organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term and long- term basis.
  • Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.
  • Must possess superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Offers substantiated feedback and input to The HUB Manager for Performance evaluations and able to assist in Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In partnership with Assistant The HUB Manager, supervises all aspects of Photo Gallery and Photo Shop operations to drive sales of Private Portraiture, Wristband sales, Internet Operations, MSC for Me App and Video products.
  • Conducts Photo Gallery / Shop opening and closing procedures.
  • Follows up with team members to assure established best practices and standardization are implemented to the highest quality standards, operational excellence is adhered to, and reports any deviations from standards to the Assistant The HUB Manager.
  • Supports Guests facing interaction protocols for all team members and proactively interacts with Guests for conflict resolution
  • Coordinates with Guest Services department to mitigate all guest service issues
  • Manages daily administration of Photo Shop / Gallery performance.
  • Works in synergy with the Assistant The HUB Manager to achieve budgeted revenue results and associated positive KPI’s for all revenue streams
  • As a pre-management position, must possess positive interpersonal skills and works with the Assistant The HUB Manager to develop a cohesive atmosphere of high morale with an upbeat forwarding thinking team.
  • Contributes to weekly training and development sessions with all team members
  • Interacts with a high level of communication with other onboard departments
  • Using specific department KPI’s, identifies and analyzes business trends and suggests improvements for approval and accurately documents results.
  • Takes ownership of Photo Gallery / Photo Shop sales targets in line with corporate budgets and targets
  • Consults & collaborates with Assistant The HUB Manager and The HUB Manager
  • Implements cruise-by-cruise strategies to enhance guests experience.
  • Follows up on all daily activity for onboard marketing of products to drive revenue expectations.
  • Contributes to operational plans for seasonality changes.
  • Contributes to daily and weekly goal setting team performance meetings, highlighting strengths & opportunities.
  • Oversees accurate administrational duties for all Photo Gallery / Photo Shop inventory management processes, including recording usage and requisitions.
  • Able to communicate, report, create project briefs and deliver systems feedback as needed daily.
