Main Function
The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in supervising the bar operations profitably and in full compliance with company food safety and sanitation standards. They ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining quality service, motivating the team, and
managing cost control effectively.
Qualifications
Fluent in oral and written English (working & safety language of the Company)
Knowledge of additional major languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.) is an advantage
Proven experience in bar management or supervisory role on cruise ships or multinational environments
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation as defined by company standards
Familiarity with electronic cash handling systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and guest service skills
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing bar operations, ensuring excellent guest service and profitability
Supervise and train bar staff, including Assistant Bartenders and Bar Waiters/esses
Implement sales initiatives such as Happy Hours, cocktail demos, and theme promotions to maximize revenue
Monitor stock levels, control costs, and prevent waste
Ensure all drinks are prepared according to company recipes and standards
Maintain compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
